Sand Surfing
I think "T" will have the greatest time sand surfing. We are opting out of the day long tour of 90 Mile Beach and will drive directly up to Cape Reinga to meet up with Ahikaa Adventures Maori Cultural and Eco Adventures. Ahikaa hires out boards to those visiting the Te Paki Sand Dunes as well as kayaking tours and fishing.
Since there is much to do we will likely hang out here for a couple of days before leaving. I think there is some good photographic opportunities in the Far North.
Tapotupotu Bay and Spirits Bay are two campsites operated by DOC (department of conservation) that we have access to and will camp at either or both while there. It is nice when our home is our vehicle!
