New Zealand gas and food costs

Currently the price of gas in New Zealand is around $2.00 / litre.
This equates to about $1.50/litre CAD.

Boneless Chicken Breasts  cost $18.99 NZD / kg and that equates to $14.30 CAD / kg, checking a local grocery store, the price here is $11.00 / kg.

Orange juice costs $4.99 NZD / 3 litres and that equates to $3.76 CAD / 3 litres, the cost here is $5.99 /2.63 to 2.84 Litre.

The Budget

Budgeting for my travels around New Zealand I estimate we will be driving  around 5500 kms.  Estimating 500 kms / fill up the cost for our travels will be around $1320 NZD or $996 CAD.

Food costs each day should be around $90 NZD for the both of us or $3500 NZD = $2650 CAD.

Adventurous activities along the way $3000 NZD = $2265 CAD.

Campervan rental is another $1450 NZD after my initial deposit this is $1100 CAD.
all inclusive insurance option $1050NZD or $795 CAD

Campsites and lodging should equate to about $10-120 /day depending on the type we choose... $1750 NZD or $1325 CAD.

I estimate we require about $10,000 CAD for the duration of the trip.
