Today we slept a little more in the morning and I worked on
updating the blog while Tegan played with a couple of kids here at the holiday
park. We tried to setup some play dates
with friends but it didn’t pan out for us.
We actually went for a little drive around Napier prior to the start of
the Irish dance class Tegan was invited to at 4:30pm. We grabbed some ice cream and then we drove
up to a lookout and had a great view of the port and the surrounding bay. It is a beautiful area they have here.
We located the class and Tegan was invited in with open
arms. She got to dance with 2 other
girls at the end of the first class and then dance with a girl and 2 boys for the
second class. After a summer off and an
extended vacation here, she is really rusty.
We will have to work on all of her dances prior to her competition in
November.
Tegan had brought a stuffed bear that has a Canada shirt on
it plus some maple sugar candies for the kids and a bottle of maple syrup for
Helen the instructor. We thank Helen and
her students for the opportunity to participate in her class. It really meant so much to Tegan for her to
do this.
After dance class we went back to the holiday park for
dinner and then bed. Big day tomorrow!
