Our hearts go out to the New Zealand miners' families

It is the saddest of news this morning that there is no hope of survival after a second explosion in the mine shaft where the 29 miners were trapped.

I have been following the updates by the minute and had such great hope that a rescue would happen and be successful.  Unfortunately for all of us the worst result was reported to us this morning.

I am comforted hearing that there is such heartfelt support for those families that lost their brothers, husbands and fathers.

During our stay in Greymouth next year we will acknowledge the lost miners and pay our respects to them and their families.  Peace and love from our family in Canada.
