CANADIAN ACTIVITIES AT LAS VEGAS ANNOUNCED

For the last four or five years, Rugby Canada and the Canadian Rugby Foundation have hosted functions, parties and informal gatherings in Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas in order to gather Canadian supporters together to enhance their fan experience while attending this important stop on the 7s Series.
There are over sixteen (16) teams from across Canada taking part in the Las Vegas Invitational Tournament, and hundreds of fans and supporters are also making the pilgrimage to Sin City. While the competing teams will be busy with training and tournament competition, there are lots of events and activities for fans to take part in also.
Following are some scheduled events, news about the NEW Canadian Team Jersey, and a list of various ways to stay in touch while in Las Vegas.
USA 7s have released their official schedule of events which includes:
·Wednesday 9th : Fan Party (Meet the England Team) at the Todd English Brew Pub from 7-9 pm
·Thursday 10th : Team Parade on Freemont Street at 7pm – NO TICKET REQUIRED
.Fan Party at PBR Rock Bar & Grill from 8 pm- Midnight (FREE entry to USA 7s Fans)
·Friday 11TH : USA Rugby Foundation Golf Tournament 8am Shotgun Start at Siena Golf Club
.USA Rugby Foundation “I’maul in Poker Tournament” at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
.Kick Off Party at the Tropicana from 8pm – 11 pm (NO TICKET REQUIRED – all you can drink beer for $35)
·Saturday 12th : Day 1 of the International 7s
.Fan Party at Rain Night Club in The Palms Resort Casino (NO TICKET REQUIRED – FREE admission)
·Sunday 13th : Day 2 of the International 7s
.Official Wrap Party at “Joint” in The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from 8pm – 2am (NO TICKET REQUIRED – FREE admission)
The Canadian Rugby Foundation and Rugby Canada are adding to this calendar of events with the following events:
·Thursday 10th : Casual dinner after the Parade of Nations in Olde Vegas, please contact Matthuw Ronald-Jones mrj@canadianrugbyfoundation.ca as space is limited
·Friday 11th : Meet and Greet with the Men’s and Women’s National 7s Teams at “The Sports Bar” in The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, players available from 7-8 pm only
.Presentation of the 2010 Sevens Player of the Year Award trophy to Phil Mack at 7:30pm
·Sunday 13th : Still TBC, a casual meet and greet with the team following the end of the tournament – at The Hard Rock
