Edmonton Sport and Social Society- Feis 2011

This last weekend we spent our weekend up in Edmonton for our first road trip for Tegan's Irish Dance.  Tegan was so excited about getting to go to this feis and compete in the dances she has been hard at work preparing for.

It was a nice weekend away, there were some disappointments with the feis, yet we persevered.


Tegan competed in a total of six solo dances and three trophy dances.  She had a good amount of rest and ate well at breakfast; so she had lots of energy to showcase when she got up on stage.  She looked pretty good, we had worked on locking her elbows straight and she did as well as I could have asked.  It was nice to have the girls from the school hangout together for extra time around the hotel.

Results

Tegan placed in 4 of the 6 solo dances and placed 2 of the 3 trophy dances.


2nd place - beginner Slip Jig U7

2nd place - beginner Treble Jig U7

1st place - beginner Hornpipe U7

3rd place - Advanced beginner Light Jig U8


4th place - beginner trophy, Trophy Reel U7

3rd place - beginner trophy, Treble Reel Special U12

Congrats to my big girl on all she accomplished.
