Rugby Challenge for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC

There seems to be a lot more in terms of media out there on the Rugby Challenge release from Sidhe than of Rugby World Cup 2011 release by HB Studios.  Sidhe has had Jonah Lomu doing motion capture work for the upcoming release and they have attained rights to the All Blacks, Wallabies, ITM Cup, and Super Rugby.

I personally don't know much about the New Zealand based company Sidhe, but they are certainly located in the right place to work on a title such as this.

Rugby Challenge will feature multiplayer online play, a multi-year franchise mode, extensive customisation options, and dynamic real-time commentary.

They have recently tested the visuals of the game although I am not sure how far along the games is in its development or actually expected release other than Q3 of 2011 and prior to the RWC 2011 event.  Hopefully there will be a NTSC release of the game and we North Americans can enjoy the game as well.

Truly the gods have blessed us as there are 2 rugby union video games in development and set to be played this summer!
