Rugby video games ugly licensing problems

I jumped over to the Rugby World Cup 2011 (video game) wiki and this caught my eye.

"It is expected the game will just feature International Squads, including the 20 nations competing in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. HB Studios have, so far, confirmed exclusive licenses to the French, English and South Africa National sides.

However, due to rival game Rugby Challenge (being developed by Sidhe) who have the exclusive licenses to the All Blacks, Wallabies, USA Eagles, these teams will not feature realistic faces/details or their official world cup kits etc., within the game."

Thanks to this fight for exclusive rights to rugby teams and venues, us gamers will be left with what feels like kitchen scraps; when all it is we want is a game that is thorough in its portrayal of the teams we love to play and play against.  Can't we share and give the customer/fan exactly what they want.

I guess I can only dream of it... exactly as my imagination will be working overtime while imagining the All Blacks players vs. Springboks players when playing either of these titles.

*note* USA Eagles is now no longer mentioned in the Wikipedia link.
