Rental cars flying off the shelves... so to speak.

Rental vehicles in New Zealand for next years Rugby World Cup are being snatched up quickly and there is a limited supply. If you are requiring a rental car, campervan or larger motorhome for hire, you best reserve it now. Prices are at a premium and availability is limited.

With the limited supply; rental companies will sell out and you will be out of luck if you do not act quickly.

The Adventure List continued...

Horseback Riding
(Horse Treks)

I think Tegan will love this.  Riding a horse on the beach with the sand and surf will be awesome.  We will try to do the 2 hours that combines the view of the beach from the hillside.

The location I picked out is Eastender Horse Treks.

We can book a campervan site here as well and we will learn some Maori culture while there and even partake in a steam Hangi meal ($13 pp).  Looks like we can even shower up here, I am sure most of the places we will be staying will offer similar types of amenities, such as; barbeque, TV lounge and activities.

After we finish our stay at the Eastender Backpackers, I will take Tegan for a little road trip to the most easterly point on New Zealand called the East Cape.  There is a little trek up 700 plus steps to the lighthouse.  I am sure it will be quite beautiful.

Prices will be steep, I mean Everest STEEP!

"The $1600 a night rate one Mt Eden bed and breakfast is charging for accommodation leading up to the Rugby World Cup is not unreasonable, an industry leader says."

I am so glad that I booked our campervan and received the current rate for the booking.  $862 NZD is what we will pay for our rental.  We still have to add the insurance, but compare that to the $2400 NZD rates I was getting from other rental companies, we scored!
